We are very thrilled to announce that The Central Islamic Council of Thailand recently awarded Captain Hook’s Smokehouse its Halal certification.
“Halal” is an Arabic word that means “lawful” or “permitted.” Halal certification then is a process which ensures the features and quality of the products according to the rules established by the Islamic Council. In Thailand, the Central Islamic Council is the organization that issues this document. It is mainly applied to meat products and other food products such as milk, canned food and in our case, fish products that underwent smoke-processing techniques.
In simpler terms, our friends from the Muslim community are assured that our smoked fish products are free from any component that they are prohibited from consuming according to Islamic law.

เราภูมิใจที่จะได้ประกาศว่าสภาอิสลามแห่งประเทศไทยได้ให้ประกาศนียบัตรรับรองเครื่องหมายฮาลาลกับทาง Smokehouse Captain Hook’s เป็นที่เรียบร้อย
“ฮาลาล” ภาษาอาหรับหมายถึง “ถูกต้องตามกฎหมาย” หรือ “ได้รับอนุญาต” การรับรองฮาลาลเป็นกระบวนการที่ทำให้คุณสมบัติและคุณภาพของผลิตภัณฑ์เป็นไปตามที่กฏหมายกำหนดโดยสภาอิสลาม ในประเทศไทยสภาอิสลามกลางเป็นองค์กรที่ออกเอกสารนี้ จะใช้สำหรับผลิตภัณฑ์ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเนื้อสัตว์และผลิตภัณฑ์อาหารอื่น ๆ เช่นนม อาหารกระป๋อง และในกรณีของเราผลิตภัณฑ์จากปลาที่มีการใช้เทคนิคการรมควัน
เพื่อนๆชาวมุสลิมสามารถมั่นใจได้ว่าผลิตภัณฑ์ปลารมควันของเราปราศจากส่วนประกอบใด ๆ ที่ไม่ได้รับอนุญาตจากการบริโภคตามกฎหมายอิสลาม
